GREAT WEEKEND :-))
This weekend was the weekend where the DDDBK show was to be at my grandies house, and the WDS in Herning.
I want to thank you all for such a great weekend, I had a cozy and fun weekend and it made all the hard work worth it :-))
On Thursday Merete came over and we were quite busy even though we felt prepared there’s always something and even the little things take time :-) But we got everything done and went happy to bed late that night after sharing a red bull in 3..what a party..haha :-))
On Friday we got up very early and a new day of hard work was waiting for us but already in the morning Katrine and Thomas came and later on Smydi and Ditte and then everything went fast. So we decided to go and pick up our foreign friends living close by and invite them over for dinner :-)) So suddenly we were nearly 20 people together just having a cozy time with lots of laughs and a couple of beers and a bit to eat :-))
Saturday was the day of the club show and the weather was cloudy, witch was nice for the dogs :-) Nougat was on of one the first in the baby class and she did very well, she was such a doll in the ring and she won her class with an SL :-)
Later we went for best baby and Nougat won again and she got a very nice critic from Bas Bosch. So I’m so proud of her and her performance :-)
Then Rouge was on next and he did very well to, he’s such a good boy in the ring now, but we still need to work on his running, since he still isn’t confident enough on that behalf. But for those who have seen him when he came here, he’s now a different dog with a new character, so it’s nice when the hard work pays of :-) He got an excellent and a good critic but wasn’t placed which was fair enough since he needs to be better on the move with the leash on and gain a bit more weight to be in show condition. I hope to get him to move on the leash as he does without it, because he’s one of the best movers in my book then :-))
Then I was asked to handle Borris from kennel shadow of oak, since the two brothers had to be in the ring at the same time and he did good the young boy, he’s such a sweet and funny Mommy’s boy :-)) we’re placed 4 th. in the class :-)) Thank you Merete and Klaus for trusting him to me :-)
Later on I handled Nougats older sister Maya for Kees in Holland and she’s such a beautiful girl and it’s hard to believe she’s only a year old :-)) She’s a strong female and I had my exercise of the day but she did a great job and we’re placed 3 th. in the class :-)) Thank you Kees for trusting her to me both days, she’s such a special girl :-)
Then my handling of the day was over and I had the chance to look at all the other dogs and just relax and have a cozy time. I was one of the best shows I have entered everybody seemed to have a nice time and there was lot’s of laughs :-)
Later that evening we had a dinner with around 70 people and the food was good and everything was fun and relaxed. So I think we’re in bed around 2 a clock in the night :-)
I want to thanks my family for doing such a good job on the day and everybody who participated on this day for making it special :-)
Sunday was the day of the WDS and suddenly I got nervous. Perhaps it’s just because the time haven’t been to it before entering the halls :-))
Rouge did a great job again, he got an excellent but wasn’t placed, which is fair since we still have some work ahead of us :-)
Maya did great in the ring, she was focused and what a mover she is, she also got an excellent and was placed 4 th. best in her class :-)
I also handled Demba for Merete, who had to leave for home, since a birth had started at home :-)) Congrats dear friends, can’t wait to see em :-))
Demba did very well in the ring and she got an excellent too, but unfortunately she wasn’t placed even though I think she deserved it, she’s a female right in my taste :-)) Thank you Merete and Klaus for letting me handle her.
After the show we stayed to cheer on Moby and Ben in the group competition, who’s the new world winner :-)) But he wasn’t placed in the group and it’s time to go home and I also felt like a 80 year old woman so time have been spend relaxing since :-)
I want to congratulate all the winners of the weekend and thank you for the nice company :-) Hope to see you around Europe later this year :-)
I’m off work until Thursday and these days are just to be spent with the dogs and enjoying the beautiful weather and then I’m off to work a couple of days and then I’m off on a road trip with Ditte from kennel turners pride to Holland, which I’m looking very much forward too, always good fun and always nice to spend time with the crazy dutch people..haha :-)

Today my grand old lady has turned 7 years :-) It’s hard to believe that seven years has passed but on the other hand I can hardly remember life without her :-)
Baja is my first douge and she has started my passion for this breed because of her I got adicted :-)
Baja is the first and she has a very special place in my heart and life. We’re more one than two, she’s always around me but never in the way, she knows my movements before I do them :-)
I feel lucky to have been given her and I can’t thank her breeder Charlotte enough for the best gift I have ever been given :-)
The day will be spend on the beach with the whole gang including the gang at my girlfriend Marielouise, so all in all we’ll be 7 dogs on the beach. I hope I get them all with me home again :-))
Otherwise everything is going good here at kennel siem.
Nougat is growing, she’s so harmonic and I have high hopes for her. So has my Vet who took a look at her, she’s so fine in proportions and very atletic :-) She’s also a very special girl, she’s such a mummy girl and chooses me instead of the others. So I think, I’ve found the closest possible to a second Baja :-) I’m looking so much forward to her first show in Tarm on saturday with Bas Bosch as jugde.
Harry had his shot and 100.000 miles check at my vet Knud the other day and he was impressed with his health, beauty and temper :-) He’s sure he’ll rule the showrings..but he still doesn’t like the table…Think I have to go to practice camp at his breeder Anne-Marie at kennel store linde, who’s always there for help and advice :-)
Rouge is also doing great, he’s still devolping and gets more and more beautifull every day :-) He’s also such a sweet boy and I’m amazed every day with him, he works so hard on beeing the best boy, he so much wants to make me happy :-) He just became father again to 9 lovely puppies (1 dead) at kennel estephé. you can see dem here: www.estephe.dk He’s very proud and we look forward to seeing them grow :-) All interessted in the pups can contact the breeder at web above and all are welcome to contact me in case of information about Rouge :-) We look forward to hearing what Bas Bosch has to say about him, since I think he’s very close to the breed standard and is just the type of male I like :-)
Otherwise I have a lot of time of work, but there’s lot’s of work in the planning of the show on saturday at my familys place, I’m looking so much forward to seeing you all and hopefully the weather will be with us and we’ll all have a nice and cozy day :-)

A while ago I got a call from a friend, who is working to be a photographer. She had a crazy idea for one of her assignment’s. She should make a picture showing a conflict and it would be showed at a gallery in Copenhagen.
Pernille Vang as is the photographer, wanted to take pictures of my dogs sitting in a fancy restaurant at the table and the conflict would be that there was only one bone :-)
I thought it was a fun idea and said let us try :-) Baja my adorable oldie was amazing, she worked like she hadn’t done anything else in her life :-) Funny how she can keep surprising me even though it has been 7 years :-) She just jumped at the seat, barking on command and looked where we asked her.. Do I need to say I’m very proud :-)
Harry the little rascal I thought would be a walk in the park, since he LOVE food and a fresh meaty bone..but no..that boy always have his own opinion and he definitely didn’t like to sit at a chair :-) Harry has never been keen on standing on the table for showing and I think this was the same problem…But at last he did it, but he didn’t enjoy the sunshine from Pernilles camera as Baja did :-)
We spend 2 days trying to get the right picture and I got to see how complicated it is to make pictures..Oh my God Pernille had to think about everything twice, but she is a stubbern and hard working woman so she got it just the way she wanted it :-)
Pernille has gotten very good reports about the picture and we just had lots of fun and love the result. So congrats Pernille :-) and we are happy that we could help :-)

Sleep tight Minusa :-(
Yesterday we all had to say goodbye to Tanakajd Szépe Nadja aka Minusa almost 6 years.
Minusa was my 3. DDB and we got her when she was 9 months old, she was a very scared little girl and it was obvious that she had not been threated well. So it was lots of hard work but in a year she was beginning to be like a normal DDB. She had learned to be on a leash, how to play and was starting to enjoy life as it should be.
Minusa stayed with me the next 2 years and she devolped very nicely but in one of her heats, she and O’Malley was driving me nuts and I called my father and his wife and they would like to take care of her the next couple of weeks, but as the day came when Minusa had to come home again. I wasn’t meet with open arms at my fathers place, since they were so happy with her.
So we decided to let her stay with them :-)
That is a decision I have never regret, Minusa was spoiled to death and has been loved like no else could have :-)
Minusa had very bad hips, my vet x-rayed her already at 10 months since she was limping when we got her. But I didn’t have the heart to send her back to her first home. Minusa didn’t have any hips what so ever, but luckily she didn’t know and with the right food, exercise and a portion of luck too, she got better and she turned in to a dog with no sickdays and she lived a normal happy dogs life :-)
But nothing last forever and for 1 ½ year ago Minusa started limping again and new pictures was made and it didn’t look good…But we decided to put gold in both her hips for an huge sum of money…but the effect wasn’t that big…Luckily my father is a stubbern man and he went to an alternativ tratment and that combined with the gold made changes for Minusa :-) So Minusa was given time and non of us had thought that she would be with us nearly 2 years more…But as my dad say “maybe we can cheat death once, but never twice” :-(
So yesterday Minusa had problems getting up and my dad called as I was on the way to the vet with Nougat to get her final shots. I turned around and called my vet saying that I would be late and that I would bring another dog and it didn’t sound to good.
I apriciate the service we’re always given at our vet, since we drive very far and they are very busy, they always make room when neassesary..Thanks Knud :-)
When I came home, Minusa was on her feet at wagging her tail when I arrived, but today Minusa sent me and my dad a look that said more than a thousand words, she was ready to leave us :-(
We went to Århus with the dogs and it was a hard trip to drive and the day was spent driving down memory lane also :-)
Minusa was a strong dog and as the vet said, this dog has been living because she wanted to live…Minusa thank you for wanting to live your life with us.
Why do I make blog about Minusa, she hasn’t been living with me the last couple of years…I do this because Minusa has taught me so much about dog behavior, about how far you can get with hard work and time…Because of her others has been given the same oppertonity.
And finally I want to tell her story and let her get the attention she deserve :-) She is the exsample of a dog looking terrible on the inside but she didn’t know and she didn’t care
Minusa, you were special and will always have a place with us. Especially at MOM and DAD and the little raschal of a babysister Aggi :-)
Take care on the other side and give the boys a kiss :-)

Harry 1 år
Tænk, hvor tiden går…Harry blev i fredags 1 år :-) Det er utroligt at der er gået så længe eller så kort..
Da jeg synes vi lige har hentet ham over hos Annemarie ved Kennel Store Linde, men omvend synes jeg jo slet ikke jeg kan huske, hvordan det var før Harry :-) Han er en helt utrolig dejlig dreng og bringer utrolig meget glæde hver eneste dag :-)
Tak for ham Annemarie vi kunne ikke have ønsket os mere :-)
Harry er selv sikker på at han er ligesom de andre og mener helt sikkert han er den største DDB og det er han helt sikkert også mentalt..haha :-)
Harry er lige blevet storebror og også det er han fantastisk til, han synes godt nok at det er lidt strengt at skulle dele kyssene med endnu en :-)
Nougat, Rouge og jeg var på sjælland i weekenden til udstilling i Blovstrød. Hvor der også blev tid til lidt hygge med Marielouise:-) Derefter gik turen til hygge hos Marie og Axel, Merete og Klaus.
Tak til jer alle for en hygsom weekend :-) udstillingen vil jeg ikke kommentere voldsomt på eftersom Rouge fik GOOD….Ja, så håber jeg ikke jeg behøver sige meget mere om, hvad jeg synes om det :-( Andet end jeg er så utrolig stolt af Rouge og hans udvikling.. han rykker sig virkelig og giver mig mere end fortjent credit for det arbejde jeg laver med ham :-)
Nougat tager alt med ophøjet ro, men har bestemt intet imod at give sin mening til kende :-) Hun fungere fint dog har hende og Baja endnu ikke helt fundet melodien, hvilket jeg er sikker på de gør, men da Baja er FANTASTISK til at opdrage og præge de små stoler jeg på hende og ved at der må være en mening med at Nougat stadig ikke er kommet ind i varmen…Hun er nok lige en anelse for smart i en fart..haha.. Her skal siges, at Baja aldrig giver antræk til at ville gøre hende noget ondt og at de er sammen hele tiden, meen Baja vil bare have hende til at forstå, at hun er DRONNINGEN og hun er kun en lille bitte prinsesse… Skønt at have hendes hjælp med prægningen.
Tænk lille Harry har været såå lille :-)
To Coatia, a stop in hell and back home…
This one will be in english, since Nougats breeder Ivan isn’t that good in danish :-))
On thuesday Ditte and I went to Marie’s place to spend the evening and night, so the trip to the airport wouldn’t be so far in the morning. Thank you Marie and Axel for your hospetality and the very good cookies..uhmm :-))
The next morning Marie drove us to the airport and we started the trip by plane to Wien, which went fine and in Wien we picked up the rental car and we went of to Croatia. It’s around a 4 hours drive, but ofcource we had to meet a snowstorm on the way so i took a couple of extra hours, but luckily the company was good, so Ditte and I was at the hotel at 6 pm.
We took a quick shower and went to the city and looked for a place to eat and after a while we found a place..but oh my good.. the meat tasted of fish and was qiute unchewable…So we left and made a pitstop and Mac Donalds..So much for the nice dinner..*S* But it was a lot af fun and we had some good laughs about it :-))
Thursday was the day Nougat and I was going to see eachother for the first time, so the waiting time was a bit long but some shopping in Zagreb made it a bit better :-))
We was surposed to be by Ivan around 5 pm but since Dittes GPS only knew Zagreb and I can get lost everywhere…it didn’t take long before I had to call Ivan and he went in the car and picked us up…Thanks a lot Ivan :-))
A bit late we were at Ivans place and I meet Nougats father Gomez, he’s such a sweet boy and very handsome aswell :-)
Inside we meet Razz Matazz, who are the mother of Nougat and what a lovely girl, she is so much fun and has a huge personality, there will alway be a place for her in Denmark :-))
A moment after Ivan brought me my little Nougat and she is all and even more than I expected, she has a personality and a temper that is nothing less than perfect :-))

After spending a good time at Ivans, we were followed back to Zagreb. Thank you very much for a cozy time and your blind dog service for the lost danish girls :-))
Nougat took the car drive esaily as she did at the hotel, nothing can bring her in a bad or scared corner :-) The bound between us was amidiatly made, she knew right away that it was going to be her and me :-)) So another MUMMYdog has entered kennel Siem :-))
The next morning we got up very early, so we could be at the airport in VERY good time to have time to feed and let Nougat have some air before flying back to Denmark…But this is where the trip to hell begin…
We got to the border i Slovenia and were pulled to the side and a psycho border officer wanted to check the chipnumber and papers of Nougat, which was allright, but after a while he came and said that I wasn’t allowed to import Nougat before she was 3 months and I told him that wasn’t correct since I have checked everything twice and when the rabbies is 21 one days there’s no problem…He wanted to call a vet and make sure and we waited for around 1 hour before a new officer came and said that all the papers was allright but i had to pay tax for bringing her…And it took almost half an hour to be allowed to pay them the money, which was quite a lot and I have later been told that they aren’t allowed to charge me there since I was in transit and Croatia is waiting to be excepted in EU, so they have the same rules in this period…So I need to check the law stuff and make them a nice letter :-))
But we were able to leave with Nougat and that was the most important, since I would under no chances have left her there in a kennel box for 2 weeks in Slovenia…So to all you that were called and texted in the morning for letting steam out..thank you..all survived because of you :-))
Quite late, we drove very fast to Wien and was in the airport 1 one before take off as we were told, but our check in, ofcourse was in the different end of the airport…We were at the check in 50 minutes before flying and I asked the women at the desk if i was the right place to check my dog in and was told to wait and as pollite as I am :-) I waited a bit…and then I asked again and this time she said “yes, you’re at the right place, but please wait a moment” I waited another 10 minutes and I asked again and this time she said ” You are too late, you can not bring the dog…” At this time time all my polliteness was gone and I told her a thing or two… :-((She wanted me to check in and leave Nougat in the airport alone until monday, where she could get on the next plane…YEARH right, like that was ever going to happen…
So I had to find another company and buy a new ticket for Nougat and I. I must say that they were very nice and they even called the pilot to make sure that everything was ready for little Nougat and the worst was that they didn’t want to recieve Nougat any earlier than half an hour before take off, the same amount of time as I had with the other company… So alot of money later and a couple of hours later we were at the airport in Copenhagen where Marie and Axel was picking us up and I was nearly crying at this time, so nice to see a known faces at danish ground :-) Thank you for being there :-))
Nougat took it all like nothing, she just wacked her tail as always and went outside to get some air, she is such a doll :-))
After this day of horror I decided to stay at Maries place since the brigde to jutland must have cracked if I drove on it this friday…We had a nice evening and Nougat had a great time with Maries 4 dogs, they were soo sweet to her :-))
On saturday we came home..safely :-)) And Nougat was meeting her new pack and her and Harry are the best of friends allready..They are quite a couple…I think Harry feels that it was about time we had a DDB at his size again..Since he’s sure that he is one as well :-))
Nougat is a one of a kind but also a rascal of another world, she’s soo naughty :-)) Just like I want them to be :-))
I want to Thank Ditte for her as always nice and fun company :-))

En hel masse :-))
Længe siden jeg sidst har fået opdateret, men tiden har været knap. Men en masse er sket, så jeg starter bare fra en ende.
Nordniedersachen hundene på udstilling :-))
DDDBK afholdte i januar et brag af et show i middelfart og jeg havde selvsagt Rouge med men endte også en tur i ringen med Saga, som havde sin debut og det gjorde de ganske godt begge to. Rouge udvikler sig meget og ord kan slet ikke beskrive hvor stolt jeg er af ham. Han fik en rigtig god kritik af specialdommer Jürgen Sauer, som beskrev han som en hund der passede på standarden :-))
Rouge endte som 3. bedste han i åben klasse med exellent og Saga endte som 2. bedste tæve i åben klasse med exellent.
Thank you Sabine for making such wonderfull dogs :-))
Udstillingen forløb som aldrig set før i DK og det er med glæde at jeg er belevet en del af udstillingudvalget i DDDBK, som virkelig arbejder for at lave shows af høj kvalitet og jeg glæder mig til endnu et brag af et show her i Tarm dagen før verdenudstillingen. Så arbejdshandskerne er allerede taget på :-)
Baja er fit for fight selvom de 7 år nærmere sig, hun stor trives og kan stadig komme ud over stepperne, hun er sin mors franske labrador :-)) Som har endnu en stor opgave foran sig nemlig at hjælpe med at opdrage vores lille nye pige. Baja har et fantastisk sind og temperament og hun er en uvurderlig hjælp til at præge de nye hunde i vores flok, jeg vil til alt evighed være hende taknemmelig for at have en så fantastisk flok. Ligesom hun jo har en personlighed som ingen anden for mig :-))

Om 3 uger flytter der endnu en prinsesse ind på matriklen, det er “lille” Nougat, som Ditte og jeg rejser ned og henter i Kroatien.
Nougat er opdrættet af kennel La Masion De Gleboff hos Ivan.
Da jeg så, at lille Nougat var kommet til verden fik jeg en følelse, som fortalte mig “den hund skal jeg bare have” Det har krævet noget arbejde, da Ivan selv ville beholde hende, men med vilje og lidt hjælp fra mine dejlige venner Marielouise og Dan fra kennel Queensville lykkedes det mig at få fingrene i lille Nougat, som passer lige i min smag :-))

Så selvom opdateringerne ikke er for mange, er det bestemt ikke fordi der ikke sker noget her i huset :-))
Afslutningsvis vil jeg sige tak til Ditte fra kennel Turnes Pride for de fine billeder hun har taget og fordi hun igen er frisk på en roadtrip :-))

Vores dreng Rouge er jo som tidligere nævnt blevet far til et dejligt kuld hvalpe på Lolland.
Der er 4 drenge som søger et dejligt hjem :-)

Ellers er alt stille og roligt her i det jydske, jeg er tæt på at være udlært, så det er jo selvsagt skønt og ellers glæder jeg mig helt enormt til næste weekend, hvor den står på den største udstilling set på dansk jord nogensinde indenfor ddb’en, så det bliver spænnende og om end andet hygsomt :-)
Jeg glæder mig mindst ligeså meget til at se jer alle sammen over et godt glas rødvin og noget dejligt mad .-))
Hundebasserne har det alle godt, de trives… Harry vokser stadig og bliver ikke mindre bulleragtig, hvor der skal gode forhandlingsevner til :-) Men han bidrager med meget morskab og holder gang i både Rouge og Baja, ja, og egentlig også os :-)
Baby-boom :-))
Igår var jeg på hyggeligt kaffe/rødvin/foder/kysse babyer besøg hos Marianne fra kennel centio. Hold op, hvor var de bare skønne og hele 12 stk. af slagsen.
Jeg fik mig et par rigtig møssebuddies…Uhmm det er der jo ingen der kan stå for :-))
Så var jeg bordeauxhvalpe skruk før, ja så blev det ikke mindre efter dette visit, med huset fuld af dejlige rynkede fjæser, men den skønneste hvalpeduft, hvorfor kan dette ikke fås på flaske?? :-))
Tak for en hygsom aften Marianne, det må være en ommer .-))
Lige til sidst vil jeg udsende en lille reminder i forhold til tilmelding til DEN første danske klubmatch, som er på lørdag, som jeg synes er et kanont tiltag fra udstillingudvalget og bestyrelsen, som jeg håber rigtig mange vil bakke op om :-))

Så er der konstateret hvalpe i mavsen på Freya hos kennel den røde løber på Lolland :-)
Vi er selvsagt glade her i det vestjyske både for Thess og selvfølgelig er det også en fornøjelse at få bekræftet at der er andet end mosevand i sprøjten på vores dreng :-)
